BMO Capital Markets Layoffs

Heard about a wave of layoffs at BMO Capital Markets in NYC this week.

Layoffs were across all levels and groups in Investment Banking.

Does anyone have more insight?

There is no WARN notice on the NYS Department of Labor. WARN notices are required to be filed with the state 60 days in advance for companies with >100 employees and where the layoff will affect 50 or more employees.

By reasoning through this, there were no more than 50 people laid off.
