Worked at BNP in Markets in conti Europe. Lots of French guys and massive tournament systems. If you don't get something instantly they think you're dumb. Prestige matters a lot. If you went to a grand ecole you're a better human than anyone else (keep in mind this is from an intern perspective). You better speak French if you wanna make it to the top somday. Lots of stupid bureaucracy which is super annyoing (took 4 weeks to hve access to all the systems). But overall the place is still pretty cool especially in markets. They're pretty much at the top in Europe so they have giant balls and let everyone know. Suprisingly, you get tons of responsibilities (once everything is running). They're also a bit "fratty". They will insult you if you make a dumb mistake. Overall I can reccommend it.

This is not for Paris specifically but they told me the culture is the same and since I worked with a lot of people based in Paris I think this can give a good sense. Hope it helps.
