breaking too big to fail

With presidential elections lurking around, talks about breaking too big to fail banks have reemerged. Just curious about what you guys think will happen to IBD areas of these banks if they end up breaking them. As someone who is starting a career in IB in the next year, should I take this into consideration when weighing BB vs. Boutique options?
