BXSL (Blackstone Secured Lending Group)

Received an offer to join the BX SL team, looking for info on comp, culture and potential exit opps from a seat like this. Consid ring it’s focused on first lien senior secured opportunities would this mean my exit opps are limited? Could I potentially move to the private equity side or even infra PE from here? Thanks all!

I have a background in credit research at an AM, will come back to write about the interview process!

Congrats! Happy to hear more about the recruitment process if possible, i’m interested in the group as well. There was a guy in credit who went to H&F after his analyst stint, so I guess PE exits are possible

Writing this for you & the research analyst who asked the same q. The interview process was 3 stages first round, superday & final round. First round was pretty easy, was asked some behaviourals but lots of technicals (mostly relating to valuation/credit underwriting). Interview was very focused on credit and how you would evaluate different types of opportunities. Was also asked some pretty niche accounting questions (i.e. how to treat certain items when building models for opportunities in different industries). They also asked me to pitch HY to them and speak to current market conditions (this may have been because of my background though). Superday was 3 back to back interviews and case study. Final round was more of a formality tbh was asked some basic questions but just met the head of the team and the VP I’d be reporting into (who had interviewed me before).
