Can Anyone Offer Advice On Career Options?

So I'm new to WSO, so I'm trying to get to grips with it.

Let me give you some background on my situation. I'm currently studying a professional qualification (CIMA) and working as a junior accountant at the same time, however I've always wanted to move into more of a finance related role. (I'm currently working in the accounts division for a car company). Ideally I'd like to try get an analyst role at a boutique, and go from there. I'm one exam away from being a part qualified accountant, and I plan on doing the Wall Street Prep financial modelling course over the next couple of months, to try and help my case. I was pretty much going to just cold call like crazy over the summer, and see what comes of it.

What would you recommend is the best route/advice for an individual in my situation? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
