Can I get back into banking after 3 years

Hi all,

I started at a top EB/BB in Chi/Hou/SF out of college with the plans of staying a banker and did so until about a month after my aso promote and to keep it short I have been in another country taking care of my parents both of which have passed in the last 18 months. I went through a tough time and spent time working as a part time farmer near my village and thought about some not so great things however I am well and want to get my life back on track. I’m fine with almost any IB in any city. How do/can I come back if I even can?

The firm that you left might take you back, especially if you disclosed the circumstances before leaving. Have you reached out to them yet?

I’m at a very similar bank in one of the cities you listed. My firm has brought back at least 2 people that either left to another role or quit working to attend to personal matters/emergencies.
