Can leveraging an offer get me into a process I wasn't in?
Purely hypothetical: Let's say I really want to work at EVR, but I don't get a 1R there (but don't get an official rejection either). A couple of weeks later, I get an offer from Laz. Can I leverage that to get into the EVR process, or is it over for me there?
If you have extremely strong contacts there, there is a chance. Otherwise would say no.
Tbh if you had that strong of a contact there in the first place, you probably would have gotten into the process
What if I got 1R but haven't heard back for a 2R or SD?
Then this could work but you already have to have dialogue with them. Also still very unlikely given how early in the process you’d be
