I don't know why you would want to as you'll accumulate more than enough exposure to your bank over time. In addition to that, you'll likely be able to get a contribution match etc. when you begin so you'd be able to buy it cheaper then anyway.
Yes, you can buy the stock. Don't buy it just because you are going to work there. As the person above said, you're already going to be highly exposed to your bank. If you think the stock is a good investment otherwise, then you shouldn't not buy it.
