Can't do a 3 statement model with a real company's financials

Hello,

I'm in the process of self studying IB, started ~ a month ago.

I'm having difficulties creating a 3 statement model when it comes to a real company. I'm able to complete easy ones (i.e. from YouTube videos case study templates), but find difficulty once I do it on my own. The challenge comes when there's so many different balance sheet items, and knowing how to link them to the cash flow statement.

Has anyone else gone through the same issue and have any tips? Feel like I've been at a roadblock for the last 2 weeks and it's becoming frustrating. Hoping to get some suggestions/resources on this issue.

Thanks

You don't have to project the one-off items or inconsistent ones, just hard code 0 and ignore them. Another trick is to reconcile the items into a single lined item such as "other assets” and go from there.
