CapIQ Add-In Data Error When File Opens
Hey all -
I’ve been using the CapIQ Excel plugin ( =@ciq() ) to pull historical and estimate data for a preliminary comps analysis, but when I open the file it automatically refreshes the data. When I’m not on the internet or I have an issue logging in, it gives errors.
Is there any setting to have CIQ leave the data and only refresh it when I hit a key (like F9 for data tables)? Could I use an IFERROR() and reference its own cell? What do you do to avoid this?
It only refreshes for me when someone else opens the file on the shared drive. Is that happening?
No, I’m the only user and it’s local on my computer.
Certain action will always refresh everything,.for example if you add row everything will be #REFRESH
That makes sense - might be my issue. Is there any setting to avoid that other than copying and pasting as values?
nope thats just how capiq is, best practice is u wud have one file for input which contains capiq formula, then another file that processes the data with capiq data pasted as values.
