Capital Markets vs. PE

I got offers for a capital markets internship at a BB and an internship offer at a well known PE firm.
I don't know which offer I should go with as both are well-known firms and the positions seem really interesting.
Which is more useful for a career? Or which offer should I go with in terms of "prestige", so to speak?
Thank you so much guys.

Depends a lot on your background and the approach you want to take from a career perspective.

From my point of view, if you come from a target uni and want to do a PE career the PE shop could give you a wider knowledge (Always depending on the shop and how keen on helping your superior is).

A lateral move can always be done to M&A or coverage, and is a "safer" but longer move. Always from my point of view, and the experiences I have lived.

The great thing to do is to speak with people inside and ask what they do in a daily basis
