Best Capital Market jobs to get into IB when market is back up.

Given the market condition, if i end up not getting into IB by mid next year, what are some other career options from which i could easily switch to IB when markets are back up?

Any job/networking advice will be appreciated.

MFin in Canada here and in the same boat. Did you graduate?

Advice from bankers I got was to look into advisory arms of the Big 4, or any corp-dev or internal M&A roles at corporations if you can find (which is usually IB then corp dev, but useful deal experience if you can get it). In case that does not work out, valuation consulting. And worst case scenario advice was get a mid-office role and keep networking to land an IB role when markets recover.
