CFA Exam ID Requirement Mess Up
I registered for the June 2013 exam about 6 months ago. When filling out my application, I didn't have a passport, so I just entered 0 for passport number and made note to myself to get a passport and update my information for the exam. Now, one week before the exam, I remember I need to get my passport and update the information with the CFA. Call me stupid, but I just started a new job at Deutsche a couple months ago and it just slipped my mind. I hired one of those companies that expedite your passport (can get it to you in 24hours supposedly) but I still need to update my info with the CFA. Am I screwed or do you think I'll pull this off? Also, any tips on how to better pull this off would be appreciated.
You need to call them ASAP - it takes ages but there is no chance of them answering an email this late ( I had exactly the same problem, just not this late!)
My passort expired and just picked up my new one this morning. Emailed the ID change form with a copy of the passport and it was updated within 3 hours give or take. Which was impressive considering it's a holiday down there. Just get it to them ASAP and you should be ok. Good luck.
they are usually very fast with the info updating. they also know this is bound to happen around this time so I would assume they have the appropriate staffing considering how much we pay them...
