Checking Disability on Job Applications Beneficial?

I have been diagnosed with ADHD since I was young. May also have some mild TISM, but doesn't really matter. It seems pretty normal to have either in finance.

Accordingly, feel free to give me shit for this question.

Historically I have never checked the "I have a disability box" because I've never really thought I needed to and have always felt that it was frivolous to do so.

As I am a rationally self-interested, given the DEI push by a lot of firms, is it at all beneficial to check that box for roles in banking and outside of it.

Would HR give my profile another look if I did check that box?

Sure is, promotes diversity in an organization. We can’t all have 4 limbs some need to have only 3, 2 or 1. Our differences is what empowers us to move forward

only being black or female helps materially, everything else is just there under the umbrella of being "inclusive"
