CIM Drafting - Always Getting Stuck

I seem to always get stuck in a rut while working on a CIM. It always starts out strong, filling in basic information on template slides, but then I just blank. I am unsure how to structure it to convey a coherent story about the company.

Can anyone offer any advice on how to get better at this? I have information from the company, but I don't know how to structure it properly.

Are you at a BB or EB or MM? I'm surprised you're solely drafting up a CIM as a 1st year Analyst. I definitely wouldn't let a first year do this but then again, I've never worked at an EB so I'm not sure if that's the norm/expectation.

My best advice is to save down all the precedent CIMs you can find that either your firm created or a different shop did and copy as much as you possibly can from the way they layout the sections to the way each slide is designed, story is conveyed, etc.

Having also had to draft an entire CIM by myself as an AN1 working at a regional boutique, I typically used CIMs from older deals as templates when first getting started. The structure is largely the same regardless of the industry in question.

To infinity... and beyond!
