Citi creates new IB unit
Citi is combining the chemicals, energy, and power group under current energy global head Steve Trauber. IIRC, this follows a similar move from Credit Suisse last summer.

Career Resources
All I gotta say is that Steve Trauber is a baller.
Anyone at Citi have any additional color? Curious about how the Houston office will change (cross office work, increased headcount, etc.)?
Barclays did a similar thing - they have a "Global Head of Energy and Industrials" with Power, Nat Res, Industrials, Transportation all under one MD. Nothing has changed as far as headcount or in the Houston office, just a reorganization
Seems to just be replicating GS Houston’s Energy Tech down to the new name for the group (NRCET - Natural Resources, Chemicals, Energy Tech). No clue if they will actually be running deals out of Houston or NY - to be seen if these MDs sit in Houston or if they are just flashing Traubers name for show.
