Columbia joint degree with Fordham?
Hi, I am a High School Senior, and I have been lurking in the forum, searching through different posts. I transferred mid-semester in my freshman year, so the school factored in my international grades that were terrible, without adding those grades, I currently have a 3.85 UW GPA. I also have a 32 ACT and as such, cannot go to any Ivies or similar tier. I am thinking of enrolling in Fordham and going into the 3-2 Engineering program with Columbia. As such, I would be able to get a BA in liberal arts from Fordham and a SEAS degree from Columbia. Would doing such a program put me at a great disadvantage? My GPA from Columbia would only have the last 2 years of the Engineering program and as such would have a lower GPA than the other applicants from the other Ivies, how much of a disadvantage would this put me at? Thank you and I realize I am still in High School but it is important right now as I have to choose to apply in a month time.
I asked this 4-2 program and 2-2 MBA question last week and everyone told me to shut the fuck up and go to an undergraduate school and get a regular degree. If Fordham is your only choice, try and transfer to more prestigious schools. An extra isn't really worth it if you think about the money and experience you can get from doing an IB job
Thanks man, will I mean I have a chance at USC, NYU and Michigan so I will apply there. Also how hard is it to transfer to a ivy?
