Compliance reading emails/Bloomberg messages

I am an intern at an EB (think PJT, green hill) i was wondering if compliance actually reads messages. I am an intern and sent a few racial/sexual jokes to other interns via email and Bloomberg (think nudity). they told us not to put anything in writing that we would not want them to see. I am wondering if they actually look at people’s stuff, and if so how big of a risk I have of getting caught and fired

Why would you do that? You already didn’t listen to compliance and now you are coming to this forum to ask random people whether compliance does what they say they do?

Nobody here is going to have a clue whether or not compliance will actually see your message. If they do see it there is a chance you get fired and I would say a good chance you don’t get a return offer.

Just follow the advice you originally received. Do not email or message material you can’t stand behind.
