Consumer Groups - Deal Modelling

Curious to understand more about fellow consumer bankers’ modelling experience in deal scenarios. I’ve worked with a few clients who have advanced operating models which we overlay a few sheets to pull multiples and metrics cleanly, and that’s the full extent of the modelling.

i’ve also had clients (specifically those with smaller finance/corp dev functions) where we’ve had to build entire op models from scratch.

How does your experience compare to mine with regard to the level of depth in which you build op models for clients?
