Cornell Engineering (Operations research) in IB?

Hi WSO,

I am going to be a freshmen at Cornell and I am planning on studying operations research and information engineering with a minor in CS. My goal is to break into IB but I have not seen much of Cornell ORIE or Cornell engineering on this forum or in IB at all. If anyone knows someone who has done ORIE, is this major geared towards any specific career options, or is anyone familiar with ORIE placement?

If anyone could also suggest some tips or advice on ways I could start early, or possible internships paths during college, I would greatly appreciate it!

Thank you! I appreciate your time!

Join a business fraternity / finance club / something like that. Attend firm events on campus. Begin to build your network. There are plenty of ORIE across many universities within IB. I was one as well and can attest
