Corp Dev for FT Recruiting
Junior here and struck out with IB recruiting and have a corp dev internship at a tech company lined up for the summer. I'm wondering if this internship will help me at all for FT IB recruiting.

I think it will only hurt you in the sense that you will have to go through FT recruiting as opposed to accepting a return FT offer from an IB. Is there a chance that you continue FT at the tech company? You are going to develop similar modeling and presentation skills as your counterparts in IB do, just on a smaller scale (i.e. you will be staffed on fewer transactions). Take advantage of any meetings the tech company has with IBs and try to network that way.
Unfortunately there's no option to continue FT so I'll have to do FT recruiting anyway. Are IBs recruiting for FT roles generally receptive to those that did corp dev for their summer internship?
