Cover Letter Question - Medical student graduating in 2012

I am a medical student graduating in 2012 apply for I-banking, My goal is to eventually enter healthcare PE or VC.

If I am turning in a cover letter to an i-bank, should I mention that I eventually want to enter healthcare PE? If I did not have an MD, I would not bother mentioning that, but I thought maybe it would give an explanation as to how my MD could be applicable.

If I display interest in healthcare banking, would that narrow the number of positions I could work at? Am I just better off not mentioning anything at all? I know you say its not a big deal either way, so its probs much ado about nothing.
