Credit Suisse: Buy-Side Insights Group

Does anyone know much about Credit Suisse's Buy-Side Insights Group within IBD? How does it compare to IBD industry groups in terms of the experience / exit opps? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Have a good friend in the group. It's a very unique group at CS that is very focused on providing value to the companies they cater to (however trite that may sound). Basically what they do is advise corporate leaders on how meet market expectations and further their share price. If you join the group, expect to gain alot of knowledge about equities, from the perspective of both an underwriter, institutional investor, and equity research analyst.

Also, from what I gather the relationships between the client and the group are longstanding and you are constantly providing new advice. It may not necessarily be deal focused, but fees may come your way and CS is oftentimes rewarded in ancillary income.

Honestly, the hours are terrible, but there's alot of learning involved. Exits favor hedge funds and corp dev over PE and the like.
