CVP Analyst Comp
S/o to Litquidity, CVP base numbers are now 130/140/150 for AN1/2/3. Do y'all think this will affect the rest of the street at all, or is CVP too small for other firms to worry about matching?

Not sure why this got so much MS. For those of us interns that don't understand the bonus schedule does this mean there is another stub paid out in August? So basically you start FT in August, get paid 75k stub in Jan, and then don't get paid again until the 170k that next January?
Bonuses are scheduled after the new year so no bonus in August afaik
Analysts are not typically 100%, from what I usually hear, bonuses are typically $10-20k below base pre-COVID.
Associates are typically 100% for top/higher end buckets at BB and 100%+ for EBs.
Honestly the base numbers are wild but $180k top bucket bonus for AN2 is what really caught my eye. $300-$320k TC range for AN2...
$75k stub for AN1 is also nice.
Does anyone else even come close to 320 comp for AN2? Jesus Christ
LionTree I’ve heard pays close to that
Wait seriously...
Jefferies HOU back in the day used to pay close to that due to that office having a separate bonus pool from the rest of the bank - not sure how much numbers have changed since then. They get crushed there tho lol my roommate used to work there
OP also forgot to mention their bonus numbers per litquidity
An1: 130k base. 75k stub + 50k signing = 155k total
An2: 140k base. 170k bonus = 310k total
An3: 150k base. 200k bonus + 200k A2A = 350k or 550k total
I suppose this means the 200k A2A bonus would be paid out in August starting in their third year? Let me know if I am mistaken
I think I like banking but after seeing these numbers might consider throwing in a lateral app.
Those numbers are summing up the 2022 future base with actual 2021 bonus numbers. So I think those TCs are overstated by 50k. Friend who is an AN1 there made 85 base all of 2021
bro if these are 2021 bonus numbers ur saying that their bonus was literally 200% of their base, I'm pretty sure that ~120% bonus for future years is just more feasible.
Damn...anyone know if CVP does FT recruiting? Looking to lateral after my SA stint next summer lol.
They do. Only looked at diversity in the fall FT cycle according to rumors but they have been stealthily looking to fill a spot recently after someone reneged
Is this for the NY office?
They do take non diversity laterals though
Damn someone reneged on centerview? Sheesh
How do you know this? They're looking to fill a 2022 FT spot right now is what you're saying?
You and me both brother. Let's plan it out lol. I'm going to be at a low tier BB this summer not sure if that's good enough to make the jump. Heard FT recruiting is hard asf
Will intern pay be bumped from 110 prorated to 130?
Comp is just insane. It seems like they just want it to make no financial sense for their analysts to leave for investing seat. The analyst 3s making 560 pre tax with the A2A bonus…
How does the bonus payout work? When do they receive the stub bonus and the An2 bonus? Is it year end for both?
---
Holy crap... these mfs getting payed like doctors right out of undergrad.
Only thing that feasibly is higher than this outta ug is HF/Prop trading.
CVP got it good.
old days of banking are back
Old days of banking eventually led to the GFC lol - pick ur poison
It already made sense but makes even more sense that a guy from my SA moved to CVP for full time. Happy for him
What type of bank did you friend SA at? And was he diversity or no? NYC office for CVP?
Sorry I can't be too specific it would easily dox him. A boutique bank though
Saw a couple nontarget, non diversity on LinkedIn.
What non targets? Just asking because the incoming intern class is pretty target heavy
Would rather not say for their privacy, but you can just browse through their analysts. It’s not like there are many.
Could someone explain how the bonuses work for CVP compared to other boutiques/Bulges? Is stub pay normal in the industry or do other firms pay out in July/August after a year as an analyst?
It’s normal. Stub is paid out in Dec/Jan usually after ~6 months of work. All other bonuses will be paid out in Dec/Jan as well.
Wait what? I thought most firms pay analyst bonuses in July/August? Assoc/Vps get paid in December no?
Jesus fucking christ
CVP almost paying 40-55% of what prop traders make now damn.
Lmfao🤣 I see what you did there.
