CVP Exits after Three Years

There is much talk about Centerview being a three year analyst program and how it is a good place to be a career banker. I have to assume the exit opps are quite good as well after those years given the prestige of the bank. Where do typical CVP analysts move to? Is the culture one that promotes and helps analysts thru buyside recruiting or it more hush? Any numbers on the percentage of analysts who leave/stay? Thanks.

Intern in IB - Gen, hey, look at the bright side, at least you didn't get a ton of monkey shit thrown at you...here is my best guess on threads that might be helpful:

Anecdotally, know several who recruited their 2nd year walk away with MF offers

Exits post-analyst stint from CVP are as competitive as they can get. Obviously there's a big emphasis placed on A2A and as such, recruiting during your first year is "forbidden" but if you decide to recruit in your second or third year, seniors will go to bat for you. Historically about half of the analysts exit and the other half stays (some years more, others less).

You'll get looks at every firm - megafund / UMM - and analysts have placed in the top funds across geographies.

Big takeaway: If you have an offer in hand, congrats! I would go in with the intention of considering a career in banking, but if you decide to recruit, you will have plenty of opportunities, and senior partners as references.

Going a little off topic here with a rookie question but on another thread about CVP someone mentioned that their business model was financial advisory "Strategy" not just transactions. Could someone explain what this means to me (as if I was a small child or a Labrador). Surely all advice around M&A transactions has a strategic element, what are they doing at CVP that is so different from every other bank out there.
