Culture is decent but used to be better. There was a lot of attrition during and immediately after COVID and the SPAC firings didn’t help. This group previously had a really strong, tight knit culture.
That being said, most associates/VPs are pretty nice people.
Some verticals within the group have very little dealflow, others do decent.
FinTech can be fairly sweaty but it’s one of best ways to get software/SaaS exposure in the NY office. They also do a lot of European deals (which can be annoying but has some pros).
If you want to do FIG PE after banking placements have been decent and there’s first year getting UMM interviews. If you want to do generalist PE, you probably want to get some FinTech exposure since they do more “normal” business model M&A unlike the B/S heavy verticals.

No
I don't know that many specifics, but very nice people. Very pleasant to work with
