DB Group Overviews

Looking for insight into some of DB's groups. I am aware that Lev Fin, Sponsors, and REGLL pretty much run the table in the U.S. but curious as to where HC, Industrials, Consumer, and FIG stand currently. Any word on deal flow and culture is appreciated.

Pls don’t listen to intern above.

Yes it’s true DB suffered from attrition and certain higher ups went to JPM. However, since then DB has made several senior lateral hires and essentially rebuilt their platform. Additionally they have expanded / grown in terms of headcount from what they were before exits, and continue to grow especially at Aso and Director level from what I’ve heard / seen (chatter, network and LinkedIn)

I would say it’s a great and competitive place to be at right now. I am at a Mid-Tier BB athink Bofa/Citi/Barclays in Healthcare Coverage and we consistently compete against DB with most of our mandates and have recently been falling behind on LBO Financing and M&A, as well as TL Refis. Albeit LBO competitiveness also due to their LevFin strength. Besides that I don’t know much else besides the fact that you’ll get a great experience, good deal exposure and also traditionally really good PE/HF exits both MF and UMM. Not saying everyone will go to MF, but everyone will at least get a shot to interview.

I heard they have a new Global Head incoming so I’m very interested to see how the group continues to expand and take market share.

Hope this clears any doubt. Btw my ex-roommate is at DB that’s why I also have insider scoop
