I think it created more opportunities within sub-sectors likes of Chemicals, Defence and others. Trump tariffs just put things on hold

yeah that could be an issue and there is total silence on all places. I have not seen any job posting

Can second the note on FIG culture from a friend working there. I've heard that the dealflow is also currently very strong, hence all the hiring effort

Seems like a lot of banks are hiring like crazy in industrials.

1) there has been insane attrition across most IND groups due to their sweaty nature and the fact they’ve been subsidizing other groups the past 3 or so years

2) there is a TON of deal flow in the space (even more this year), further exacerbating the burnout issue.

OP, did you look around to see if any other banks are hiring in industrials? DB is in the crapper a bit, if there are opportunities elsewhere it’s worth considering.

One thing worth noting is industrials is a “strong group” across most banks, because the industry is  fragmented and there are lots of deals to go around. This is both good and bad… I got lots of deal reps in industrials, but it was frustrating looking around at other groups doing very little and still getting paid via subsidy.

OP I’d definitely broaden your search and find a bank you really want to be at… if you want to do IND, groups are hiring at lots of places due to high turnover and strong deal flow in the sector.

Also it would be great if any DB insider get us some information on hiring for this analyst role as nobody has received a call for interview yet.

on weekend everyone wants to sleep rather than replying to you mate

DB IND is a total sweatshop and extremely top heavy. MDs are aware it is an issue
