DBO Partners? (fka Dean, Bradley, Osborne)

Wondering what the latest was on these guys, nothing on them on WSO since they were founded.

Seem to have great/consistent deal flow for the size, and a great culture. Any thoughts on working there, interviews, reputation?

I don't have any inside info so I'm probably not telling you anything new, but the big draw seems to be the founders, who were rainmakers at Morgan Stanley. These guys have top notch networks with sponsors on the west coast. I'm fairly certain there is a strong relationship with Silver Lake. The analysts seem to be really solid ( all from Wharton, Princeton, MIT, Dartmouth). PE exits that I've seen (only 2) were KKR and Thoma Bravo.

Overall, I think this place will eventually be considered an elite west coast boutique if it isn't already (I'm not from the west coast). Deal flow appears strong from what you can see on the website. I'm sure comp is on par with anywhere else. You'd probably get a lot of direct exposure working with the founders who have incredible backgrounds. I'm guessing that if you kill it there as an analyst, they can get you in the door at any shop on the west coast. My overall impression of the place is really positive.

Don't have insights on recent deal flow, can only shed some color on recruiting. They send universities' career services emails directly about internship opportunities, not sure about FT positions.

So you probably need to be in the business school/familiar with a career counselor to know about the email/opportunity since it's not even on the career center's website.

Persistency is Key

Hey Pittman, I swear if I had a silver banana for every lonely thread I posted too I'd be richer than @compbanker ...

I hope those threads give you a bit more insight.
