DC ADVISORY CLOSING PARIS OFFICE

DC Advisory Paris offices closing (search it up - I think only french articles for now). anyone on the inside knows more ? Is it a budget problem ? Not enough deals ? Couldn’t they wait 2025 uptick (if any) ?

If fees were in the range of €200k/FTE (partners included) as suggested in the article, it really makes sense but bold move when all the big names have been opening in Paris in the last years and DC was one of the key players of MM here

Honestly a silly decision. DC's whole USP was international reach + localised knowledge (not that unique, but hey), now they're losing it

French clients are really mean on fees lol. Sure the boutiques are opening French offices, but it was more of a decision back in 2022/23 when the deal flow was good. Now the French market is more than dead. Have seen people with three M&A internships (boutique + MM + large-cap) from Top 5 GE ended up in big 4.

France is the most overrated country of all time.

Smells, terrible comp, expensive, poorly run, the people are arrogant, everyone likes cheese, and they're not that smart.

Who cares? DC Advisory should focus on the US, UK, UAE, Singapore and Japan.

Europe outside of London is 3rd world. Fight me.
