Deferred UBS/CS people - update?

Has anyone heard anything on whether or not we’ll still start in February? How many of you all have left to other firms? How worried should we be about the offer being rescinded? Does anyone inside UBS know if they still plan on taking on February cohort?

Just surprised to see there's still people who haven't re-recruited. Deulusional or lazy?

Why should one be worried? They do this type of deferring at consulting firms and such

I interned at CS this summer, got an offer from UBS with a start date in February 2025. I'm graduating May 2024. Not sure if this helps.

Re-recruit, it's just them being nice and saying you have an offer so you can re-recruit. The people they wanted actually are coming back to start in 2024 and the people who are interning in 2024 will join in Fall 2025 as is more usual.

Being "nice"? If they did not want them they would not have given them an offer, period. Deferred means they start late for 2024 class or, more likely, early for the 2025 class. No such thing as nice in this business.
