Delay Graduation to switch between BB

Hi guys, I am senior and I have a FT IB offer from a mid-tier BB. However, I don't particularly like the people in the firm. Is it worth it to delay graduation to do SA recruiting again to switch to another (hopefully better) BB or should I just stick with my current bank for FT? I can study abroad or do some PE internship for the fifth year before FT starts if I choose to SA again. Thanks!

Did you recruit for FT as well? If you did and didn't get anything, I'd say no.

If you didn't recruit for FT, I'd still recommend not pushing graduation. There's no guarantee that you would get a better offer or like the people any better. You'll also have to have a pretty compelling way to address why you aren't going back.

Yes, ideally you'd like the people you work with, but at this point I'd just work hard once you're on the desk and start thinking about what you want to do after banking. Plus, you may actually end up being pretty close to your class once FT gets going.

I'm not sure if you mistyped but it'd be hard to go back to being an SA again- you can rerecruit for FT for next year, but honestly you'd have to find something meaningful to do during the off year.

If you want to do this, maybe even ask your group if they'd be willing to delay the offer for a year if you have a backup (I'm just speculating- not sure if this is even possible)
