Did I mess up by lying to a BB?
Im applying for an internship next summer at a large BB and I lied on my resume and on the application about an internship that I thought I was going to receive an offer for this current summer, but didn't. In essence, I presented it as if I had gotten a job and was working there this summer on my resume; but it ended up not working out and i didnt work there. Now as I advance through the rounds of this internship application for a BB Im worried that I might get the job but wont pass the background check. Should I withdrawal now to avoid getting blacklisted or email them asking to put an updated resume on file? Any help would be appreciated.

Would probably email HR and tell them you updated something on your resume wrong and would like to resubmit a new version. Shouldn't be a big deal
