Difference between M&A Product and Sector Teams

I know it depends on the bank but, where is better to be to get big deal exposure and best exit opps? I have heard M&A sector- agnostic teams do more operational/execution work while the Sector Teams do the gritty financial model analysis. Also, which one generally does more origination work like pitching? If we are talking about BBs, as an intern, which team should I choose?
