Do interviewers usually follow up with candidates they decide not to move forward with?

I’m curious if banks reach out to candidates that had a first round or second round if they aren’t moving forward with them. I’d just like to know if I’m still being considered for places without having to nudge them.

For early stages, usually you'll get an automated email within 1-2 weeks. If you don't by then, and you know what the bank's timeline is like (either cos you read about it or asked them about it during your interview) then odds are they're progressing other candidates. It's not career-ending to follow-up if you've heard nothing for a couple of weeks, you just need to be prepared for an unfavourable outcome.
