Do training exams matter at all
Anyone been through a training process with a bank that uses TTS? Do the final exam grades matter? Can you be fired for not scoring high enough? I scored decent but just curious in general because HR is very cryptic about what happens if you actually scored low.
Based on the most helpful WSO content, training exams, such as those conducted during onboarding or training programs, generally serve as a way to ensure that new hires grasp the foundational knowledge required for their roles. However, the importance of these exams and their impact on your employment can vary depending on the bank and its policies.
Do the final exam grades matter?
While HR might not explicitly state the consequences of low scores, these exams are often used to gauge your understanding of technical concepts and readiness for the job. Scoring well can reflect positively on your ability to handle the role, but a single low score might not necessarily be a dealbreaker.
Can you be fired for not scoring high enough?
It's unlikely that a single low score would lead to termination, especially if you demonstrate strong performance in other areas. However, consistently poor performance during training could raise concerns about your ability to succeed in the role. Banks typically provide support and resources to help employees improve if they struggle during training.
General advice:
If you scored decently, you’re likely in a good position. Focus on applying what you’ve learned during training to your actual work. If you’re concerned, consider reaching out to a mentor or colleague for guidance on areas where you feel less confident.
Remember, banks are generally more interested in your ability to perform on the job rather than just your training exam scores.

Nobody cares dude
If you can’t do well on TTS then you’ll probably get fired anyways
del
No one really cares. Just don’t get a failing average. They literally give you all the answers in the “optional” practice videos that you watch the night before.
Chill out Andrew
