Do you find your work rewarding?
Hey folks,
I just wanted to ask the people working in IB what it is that gets you through your analyst years and you to bust your ass 100 hours per week? I feel that external factors like pay, prestige and exit opps are the things that are driving me towards pursuing a job in this industry, which I'm currently doing. Nevertheless, you sometimes hear from people that they're working in this field and get motivated by other factors than the ones mentioned above and that they genuinely like their job and feel it rewarding, which makes me wonder if thats actually the case and which factor it might be that drive these people. Does this change after your analyst years?
Looking for justifications to give this M&A thing a go.
Cheers!

Incredibly rewarding, mentally, physically, financially.
Also if you are trying to justify this career it may not be right for you. A lot of people hustle to get into it, you can’t just walk on
