Double-emailing MD?

So a few days ago, I had a coffee chat with an alumni who's MD at a large MM. He asked for my resume and said he would slot me in for an interview. I emailed him within a few hours, thanking him for speaking with me and attaching the resume. I haven't received a reply yet, should I email again or just pray things work out? My application still says the status is new.

I would just send a follow up note expressing your interest in the role. In many cases he's just been really busy and your note got buried. Following up generally is a good approach, but maybe wait to hear from other folks who chime in.

There's a closer meaning to my user name. Try reading it quickly. Perhaps you will then understand ;P
