Education to IB: Can it Happen?

Been working 5+ years in the education sector as an administrator - working with achievement data, managing school operations systems, etc.

Just got accepted to an M7 MBA program with a good placement stats in IB.

I'm wondering if people like me are able to break into associate positions at BBs or solid boutiques, or if that's sort of a pipe dream given the lack of corporate or finance experience.

I've got the confidence and the work ethic, just not the background. Any insights appreciated.
