Emory Placement/Transfer Benefit

I'm a freshman at Emory, and the consensus from what I've read online is that the school is a semitarget with decent recruitment opportunities if you apply yourself. However, a lot of sharp upperclassmen I've talked to struck out, and some go as far as to say this place is a non-target.

What's Emory's current rep, and is the benefit of transferring to a school like Penn CAS or Cornell ILR worth the cost?

Went to Emory and landed in IB. Know a ton of people who did the same. Got interviews at practically every bank I wanted by being smart and strategic with the process. May be survivor’s bias but I truly think, if you’ve failed to meet your expectations at Emory, then that’s on you and not the school.

At the end of the day, no matter where you go, there will be hundreds of kids competing for these spots; Emory is no different. Never been to another school so can’t answer if transferring is worth it, but id guess it’s only marginally better at most.

Thanks for the input. Do you think Emory's rep is growing on the street? There's been a lot more on-campus recruiting, from what I've heard from seniors.

Not sure I finished my process a couple years ago, so I’m not in the loop. Generally, my advice to kids looking to transfer is, if you’re so discontent then do it and ease your mind. But the grass isn’t always greener
