Equity Research to IB
Hi - I’m an equity research associate at a BB with 2 YOE trying to switch to IB. What advice do you have? I’ve been networking and reaching out to recruiters, but nothing’s materialized.
Why would you want to switch? ER is better and if you don’t like it you can go into corporate or buyside equities. IB sucks

Have only really heard of/seen this happening internally or in specialised divisions like Pharma or for very senior people.
I think internally would be the much easier path
