Etiquette: Should you go to the info-session of the firm where you'll be summering?

Hi, the question is pretty simple. I will be summering at a US BB in a month (junior internship, summer 2021) and they are holding a virtual information session at my school for summer 2022. What's the etiquette - should I attend the info session? Should I attend, but drop when it comes time for break-out rooms? Would it be different if the info session was in person?

I'm probably overthinking this but still wanted to get your take in case I missed out on some unspoken protocol. Thanks.

If it's the same team that is leading recruiting, I don't it can hurt to send a quick email saying "hey, super excited to intern this summer. I saw that you're hosting a virtual event at xyz school, would you like for me to join?" Probably doesn't matter either way. Usually more helpful if you summered and are going back FT since you can speak to working with the team.
