Evercore First Round Questions?
what type of questions does Evercore ask in their first rounds? I know they ask behavioral and technical but wondering how detailed the technicals get?

Rx or m&a?
m&a
I understood process kicked off late April. Are you diversity?
straight from the guides -- lots of accretion/dilution and accounting walkthrus
Straight from the guides?! Really? Heard it’s the opposite and very rigorous
I also heard it's super technical – lots of stuff not found in the guides. If it's straight from the guides, what areas should we mainly focus on?
EDIT: no paper LBOs right?
^
Would love to hear this for Rx- examples of questions too!
For M&A, I've heard its pretty difficult, would love some insight/guidance on what technicals to study as well.
do diversity programs have automatic first rounds?
Interviewed last year through diversity program, got offer.
Very technical all around, not off the guides. Some multi-step accounting, EV/equity val questions, and then lots of conceptually understanding DCF/LBO/Merger models in 1st round. Superday had lots of merger model accretion/dilution models.
are there any PIK questions with acct? like this one: https://www.wallstreetoasis.com/forums/multi-step-accounting-questionhe…
How would then recommend preparing if its not based off the guides?
Would recommend conceptually understanding the qs as you read through them and not memorizing answers. Idk how to explain how I did that, besides reading/taking some notes/mocking/testing myself to see if I understood the concepts
Also want to mention that my process last year was slightly different because I did the first rounds (I had 2 first rounds) BEFORE the diversity program, and then went straight to superday afterwards
