I have to disagree - from a distressed debt syndications POV, that’s a crappy take. Would defo take GS/Citi/JP type bank assuming markets role etc

The issue often overlooked at GS/Citi/JPM UK Diversified Industrials type banks is their PBSA coverage. Unless you follow UK politics, I would personally call up Steve Schwarzman and tell him, "You have to see this deal."

Above responses might be confusing so will clarify.

Fintech was folded into Tech when the fintech partner (Jane) left with a lot of her VPs for a client. So that's under Tech now.

Clean energy is under Renewables, which is part of IUR (Infrastructure, Utilities, & Renewables) which is all one group. As an analyst in IUR, you don't get to just stay in renewables deals. You're a generalist across I, U, and R (although you can tell the staffer you really want to stick with one of the three and they'll try to help you out). IUR is a new-ish group created when they folded PUI with Renewables (that team came from Credit Suisse).

And clarifying above, yes M&A is separate from PCA, DCM, ECM, PFG, Shareholder Advisory, RX, etc.
