Evercore WLB
Is anyone able to shed some light on how the WLB is these days in NYC? Recent threads are fairly dated. Understand this quesiton is very group dependent but any perspective would be helpful

Cmon, how/why is this question being asked. To give you some context, last week worked ~95 hours at EVR. That's not uncommon, obviously not always the case but happens semi-frequently.
Bumping
Tech, HC, media analysts look dead inside. Every Saturday and 100+ weekly
EB hours pretty rough across the board, but for what it’s worth my peers from EVC spoke more highly about the culture than most of the other EBs

This is the answer.
You can have one deal team with daily Netflix WLB and another with brainfog-inducing sweatshop WLB, in the same group. This happens in almost every group. One bad associate / VP can ruin your life, as in any bank.
In general would say EVR is better than other firms but you will work a lot.
how rough are hours at evercore menlo for tech?
I’d imagine it’s a sweat shop

Met someone that worked within tech at Evercore (or some related team) and it sounded like she had to keep her work phone on at night, and had to be responsive no matter how late it was. Vacations were also not an option. lol
Tech at EVR is rough, no matter the location (Menlo or NY). Would say that Menlo is less buttoned up/facetime heavy though
Any Naveen stories from tech?
Honestly not that bad. Demanding, for sure. But super sharp and someone you can learn from if you watch him in play
