Ex-Firm Asking to Pay Them Back - Dilemma

Hi all -

Ex-firm (BB) is asking to reimburse them for a relocation package they provided me ($7K) for leaving the firm in less than 12 months of employment. Do not recall signing anything on paper or electronically in agreement to this. (but will need to confirm)..

  1. What are my options here? (of course paying is one of them)

  2. What is the likelihood for them to pursue legal action had I ignored this request?

Thanks everyone!
