Full disclosure up front: I build one of these, so weight my take accordingly.

I used Macabacus for years at work and honestly it was useful, but it had a habit of uninstalling itself every time it pushed an update, and half the time the ribbon just wouldn't load. And realistically I was only excited about maybe 10% of the feature set anyway. So I ended up building my own add-in (ExcelSurge) around just the stuff I actually touch every day. Shortcuts you can fully remap to whatever you want (Macabacus lets you change the keys but you can't really build your own), precedent/dependent tracing that actually follows links across sheets, an audit that scores the workbook and catches hardcodes buried inside formulas, and Excel-to-PPT links that survive the file getting renamed.

Fair warning that it's Windows desktop only since it's built on VSTO, so no Mac support for now. There's a free trial if anyone wants to kick the tires, no card needed. Happy to answer questions, and honestly if you tell me what's missing or what sucks, that would be very helpful.
