Excel on MacBook

Currently using a MacBook Pro for everything school related and do not own a PC. Incoming 2020 summer intern and I want to get my Excel skills down and perfect. Lots of differences between Excel on Macs v. PC - any advice on how to best prepare for this summer with only a MacBook Pro?

Not a pro but have had a decent amount of experience with modeling on a MacBook as an analyst. The whole command+key fucked my whole shit up and using shortcuts doesn’t solve the problem with using a mac. At first I just connected a pc keyboard to my

Laptop and would go from there but it still got complicated because I couldn’t bring it everywhere with me. My main solution was to just download Windows onto my Mac by using Bootcamp Support and it was the best thing ever, highly recommend but just make sure that you set enough space for your windows side of the Mac because you can’t give it more space later on, it’s a one and done situation. Since the macbooks have the Ctrl key next to the Fn it makes it easy to use like a regular pc but you just gotta get used to it not being all the way on the left side of the keyboard. Overall I would def look more into using Windows Bootcamp on Mac, it basically turns your whole computer into a windows running pc making it easier to do work on. But once you use windows you’d have to restart the computer to bring it back into its Mac setting. If you think about it, being able to do solid work on your MacBook significantly outweighs having the ability to text/FaceTime on it (at least for me).

Hope this helps and good luck
