Exiting debt capital markets

I’m currently a DCM analyst at a bank pretty low on the league tables but have gotten good exposure to transactions and pitching. Feeling pretty stuck right now but want to improve my technical skills and move to IB/ lev fin or something quant related. I have a strong math background and experience modeling from my classes. Also a fast learner and very hardworking so willing to put in the extra work once I move to get up to speed. Does anyone have advice on how to go about this and whether it’s possible or if I am just stuck here.

How long have you been there? Most BBs are pretty open to internal mobility after 2y. Get networking internally and get yourself out there (don’t go to LF/whatever and ask for a job, but get to know the teams, ask them about themselves, etc), and you’ll be in great position when the time comes.

LF should be a pretty easy transition for you at a junior level.

Been here for over a year. This isn’t a BB and I would likely have to look externally as there aren’t many options internally that I mentioned but I have been looking internally as well to grow my network
