Exploding offer / FT recruiting
I have an exploding offer FT for a non traditional role at a unique well respected bank. However, last cycle I came very close to landing an IB role at a top BB. My summer internship was not in IB but it did improve my resume. I submitted FT applications like within the last month. None of my applications have been read yet but I am getting a couple of emails from recruiters asking for interviews.
Question: is it ok or common practice to reach out to the banks were my applications are unread at to notify them of my exploding offer?
The worst that they can say is no to you or ignore you further. Can't hurt to at least try.
